Feasting in the alleys of the törggele capital: Chiusa, in South Tyrol

Törggelen, the fifth season of the year in South Tyrol

On three Saturdays in September in Chiusa, the city of artists, is held a traditional feast called “gassltörggelen”.

At the food stands, visitors will be able to taste the many specialities on offer, such as local sausages, schlutzkrapfen (spinach-filled ravioli), canederli, surfleisch (spiced meat), roast chestnuts, sweet krapfen and select Valle Isarco wines.

The feast is enlivened by much music and an entertainment program rich in events, such as the traditional procession or the coronation of the “queen of the törggele”.
